The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially rescheduled Match No. 19 of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants.
The change comes in response to a request from Kolkata Police to the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) regarding security concerns due to city-wide festivities of Ram Navami. After discussions, the authorities suggested shifting the game to a later date, and the BCCI has accommodated the request. As per a BCCI release, the KKR vs LSG match has now found a new date.

Initially set to take place on Sunday, April 6, at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, the match will now be played on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 3:30 PM at the same venue.

While the rest of the IPL 2025 schedule remains unchanged, the rescheduling of KKR vs LSG has led to minor adjustments in two days.
April 6 (Sunday): The day will now feature only a single-header, with Sunrisers Hyderabad hosting Gujarat Titans at 7:30 PM (Match No. 20).
April 8 (Tuesday): This will now be a double-header match day-
Apart from this adjustment, the rest of the IPL 2025 schedule remains unchanged. Fans in Kolkata will now witness an afternoon clash between KKR and LSG on April 8, which will be a relief to all the KKR faithful.
KKR started their season with a defeat against RCB but then roared back to get a victory against the Rajasthan Royals. Lucknow Super Giants have had a similar start as well. They lost the first match against Delhi Capitals but then secured a superb victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
