IPL 2025: 'Lion Left The Logo And Lives in The Forest' - Netizens Troll CSK For Contributing to Green Dot Balls

Netizens showed no mercy towards Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings after the team's shoddy batting performance against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2025 at the Chepauk on Friday (April 11) night.

CSK suffered their fifth straight loss, including a hattrick of defeats at MA Chidambaram Stadium, when a former Super King Ajinkya Rahane captained his KKR side to a dominating eight-wicket victory.

Put into bat first, CSK's under-fire batting continued to disappoint as they could only manage to post 103/9, their lowest total at home in IPL. This was also the third time in IPL history when CSK has posted below 120 at home.

During the innings, CSK registered 61 dot balls - 10.1 overs, which accounts for half the innings. KKR, on the other hand, chased down the target in the same amount of deliveries.

In their six outings this season, CSK has played out 245 dots, the highest for any team followed by KKR, who have played 234 dot balls. The number of dots is rewarding, but for the bowlers as BCCI has launched an initiavtive of an award with every dot ball bowled leading to planting 18 saplings each.

One user posted a picture of Chepauk filled with trees along with the caption, "This is why I like CSK. They care about the environment.!", while another user said the lion logo may have just decided to live in the forest. There were many more posts taking a swipe at CSK's approach.
