The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday (November 5) revealed the venue and dates for the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. The Indian cricket board also announced that 1574 players have registered for the big auction, scheduled to be held later this month.
As per the announcement, the IPL Mega Auction 2025 will be held as a two-day event on November 24 and 25, and will be held for the second successive year overseas in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Apart from the venue and dates of the bidding process, the BCCI revealed that 1165 Indians and 409 overseas players, including 30 from Associate nations, have registered their names for the big auction.
A total of 204 slots (70 overseas) are available for the ten teams to fill during the auction with each franchise allowed to have a maximum of 25 players in their squad. As it stands, Australia (76), South Africa (91) and England (52) have most entries among the foreign players.
While the list will be trimmed down following further review and picks from the franchises, there are reports already doing rounds of the international stars, who have opted to enter the auction with the top base price of Rs 2 Crore.
According to report on ESPNcricinfo, some of the expected names like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer have registered their names at a base price of Rs Crore for the upcoming IPL Auction.
The report also added that Indian capped pacers Mohammed Shami, Khaleel Ahmed, Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Deepak Chahar, Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Prasidh Krishna, Shardul Thakur, Avesh Khan, T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel have all opted for the top base price.
Apart from the aforementioned names, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Krunal Pandya, Devdutt Padikkal and Ishan Kishan also have registered at Rs 2 Crore base price. The final list will be revealed in the coming days, but here is a look at the reported list:
