Yuzvendra Chahal features among the marquee sets at the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) Mega Auction 2025, scheduled to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Sunday (November 24) and Monday (November 25).
The senior leg-spinner, who was released by Rajasthan Royals ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, will be one of the in-demand players, attracting biggest bids during the two-day auction.

Having made a name for himself during his stint with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Chahal is the highest wicket-taker in the lucrative league, taking over 200 over wickets in 160 matches since making his IPL debut in 2013.
Being in the fringes of the Mumbai Indians squad in his early days, Chahal rose to fame at RCB and broke into the Indian team in the limited overs format. However, the leggie has fallen out of favour with the national despite consistent performances in the IPL.
The 34-year-old, once the main stay of RCB, was bought by the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction for Rs 6.50 Crore after he was released by the Bengaluru-based side following 8-year run with the franchise.
The leg-spinner is the only spinner to have done well at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, where bowlers have found it hard to contain the batters. In 113 matches, Chahal claimed 139 wickets for RCB and still remains the leading wicket-taker for the team by a mile.
Having been released into the auction pool, Chahal emerges as the top priority for RCB, who will face a lot of challenge at the bidding table to land their former star with teams including RR and Mumbai Indians likely to be keen on a spinner.
Every team will be eager to land a player of Chahal's calibre. As fans wait to know where Chahal will ply his trade next season and beyond, here is a look at when the leg-spinner will arrive along with his serial number, set number and base price details:
The Indian spinner has registered himself for a reserve price of Rs 2 Crore and enters the auction as part of the marquee players. With the serial number of 7, Chahal is part of Maquee Set 2.
Having been registered as the Marquee Set 2 player, Chahal's name will be drawn as any player from 7 to 12. The Marquee Set 2 auction could start after the Marquee Set 1, which could finish by 4:30 PM IST. So, Chahal's name may be drawn post 4:30 PM and mostly before 5:30 PM IST.
