MI vs LSG Awards List: In the Match 45 of the IPL 2025, Mumbai Indians beat Lucknow Super Giants by 54 runs on Sunday (April 27) at the Wankhede Stadium.
With the win, MI have now registered five victories in a row and are looking in ominous form. The Paltans have also entered within top four as they currently occupy 2nd place in the table.

Batting first, MI posted a commanding 215/7 in their 20 overs. Ryan Rickelton set the tone with a fluent 58 off 32 deliveries, while Suryakumar Yadav continued his rich vein of form with a sparkling 54 from 28 balls, crossing the milestone of 4000 IPL runs. Late fireworks from Naman Dhir and Corbin Bosch pushed MI past the 200-run mark.
Chasing a daunting target, LSG faltered early, losing wickets at regular intervals. Despite fighting knocks from Mitchell Marsh (34 off 24) and Ayush Badoni (35 off 22), the innings lacked momentum. Jasprit Bumrah turned the game decisively with a stunning spell, taking four wickets for just 22 runs, including a remarkable over where he dismissed three batters.
This win lifted Mumbai Indians further up the points table, showcasing their resurgence at a crucial juncture of the tournament. The brilliance of Yadav with the bat and Bumrah's precision with the ball highlighted the gulf in quality between the two sides on the night.
Hardik Pandya (MI captain): The momentum which we had, we are carrying it forward. Everyone is clicking. The kids created the atmosphere for us, we did it for them, so very glad. Everyone kept taking their chances. The way Bosch came in and smashed those sixes, everyone chipped in. The bowlers were spot on. Good teams are made of the same, when everyone chips in. From Ryan, Will, to Bosch, myself, everyone is chipping in. I bowl when I am required. Today was the best chance for Bosch to come in and bowl. This competition is very tough, can't get carried away. We need to play good cricket, always prepare for the next game and keep up with the momentum going forward.
Rishabh Pant (LSG captain): We feel as a team it was the right decision for us (to bowl first), because most of the time we back our batting. Yes bowlers, we want to give the best conditions for them, but today wasn't our day. The other team is playing good cricket, you've got to give credit to them instead of just looking to question yourself. As a team, the dip is there but we can figure it out because we have a break at the right time. Keeping it very simple, not thinking about it too much (talking about his poor run). In a season like this, where things are not going your way, you're going to start questioning yourself as a player - that's not something you want to do. When the team is doing well, you've got to think about that. It's a team game. Everytime if you take out the individual, it's not the right thing to do I guess. Definitely it was good to see him coming back from injury. First match, he's getting that rhythm, you can see it. Hopefully he gets better and better next time.
