Mumbai Indians (MI) will head into the IPL 2025 Playoffs without the services of three key overseas players-Will Jacks, Ryan Rickelton, and Corbin Bosch-who have exited the camp due to international duties.
The trio played their final match of the season during MI's league stage defeat to Punjab Kings, after which the franchise gave them a warm send-off in the dressing room.

Will Jacks is set to join the England squad for their home series against the West Indies, which begins on May 29. Jacks featured in 13 matches for MI, contributing 233 runs and picking up 6 wickets. Mumbai had successfully acquired him at the auction, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru opting not to exercise their Right to Match card.
Ryan Rickelton and Corbin Bosch, meanwhile, are part of South Africa's setup for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship Final against Australia, which is scheduled from June 11 to 15 in London. Rickelton has been one of MI's standout performers this season, amassing 388 runs, including three half-centuries, making him the second-highest run-scorer for the side. Bosch featured in three games, scoring 47 runs and taking one wicket.
To cover for the departures, MI have roped in England's Jonny Bairstow, England pacer Richard Gleeson, and Sri Lanka's Charith Asalanka. Bairstow is likely to slot in as an opener alongside Rohit Sharma in the crucial eliminator clash.
Mumbai's hopes of finishing in the top two were dashed by their loss to Punjab Kings. A victory in that game would have seen them claim the top spot on the points table. Now, they will have to take the longer route to the final through the eliminator, scheduled for May 30.
Punjab Kings, on the other hand, secured a place in Qualifier 1 and will face either Royal Challengers Bengaluru or Gujarat Titans on May 29. The IPL 2025 final is slated to take place in Ahmedabad on June 3.
