If MI lose today, it is not over for them. Both Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians will play Punjab Kings as their respective final group stage match. In that case, the equation gets a bit tricky.

Delhi Capitals will have to simply win today against Mumbai Indians. If they lose, they are eliminated from the tournament. And if the Capitals win, the above table will be applicable in the same way for them as well.

In case the match between MI and DC is washed out, it will be a big blow for the Delhi Capitals. In that case, Delhi will have to win against Punjab Kings in their last match by a big margin, and will have to hope that Mumbai Indians lose against PBKS by a big margin to ensure their NRR is better than the Paltans.
