IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals to Conduct Opening Ceremony with Regional Music Artists, set to Promote Local Talents through HunaRR Manch | Exclusive

Rajasthan Royals have opted to go for a regional tinge in their upcoming home matches in Jaipur for the IPL 2025 season.

MyKhel understands the Royals have decided to promote Rajasthan-based musicians, singers and other artists - who will be performing across the matches at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

The BCCI confirmed an opening ceremony for all the IPL venues this season, and as the Royals take on RCB on Sunday (April 13), there will be a glittering opening ceremony, but without the flashy Bollywood names.

Although the venues across the country have seen known music artists performing, the Royals have taken a different route from that.

The Rajasthan matches in Jaipur will be graced only by the local artists, as each home match will have a musical ceremony before it starts. The fans with tickets for the match will have early access and they can enjoy the show before the start of the encounter.

A Rajasthan Royals official told MyKhel exclusively that the initiative has been taken to connect with the local fans. The artists were selected after an internal and external audition, and each match will witness five performances. The RR franchise is also very much keen to provide a platform to the traditional Rajasthani artists, who have had a lesser exposure to the broader audience.

The initiative has been named as Royals HunaRR Manch and the willing participants and artists can submit their artistic videos to a WhatsApp number 74004 40983 till April 14 for the next home matches.

Amid the glitter of IPL, where teams have taken the easy route to book a famous name, this is a commendable act by the Rajasthan Royals. Along with the connection of fans with local artists, it shall also provide an opportunity for budding talents to showcase their musical prowess on a huge platform such as the IPL.
