Gujarat Titans are tipped to keep Mohammed Shami in their team ahead of the IPL 2025 auction.
Shami, who is on course to recover from a long-term injury, is likely to be retained by the Titans.

A source close to the franchise told MyKhel about Shami's retention. The India pacer hasn't been in action since the 50-over World Cup last year. Shami went through surgery and is now slowly returning to full fitness.
He was seen bowling in full throttle at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, which has heightened the chances of him playing in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. But in terms of IPL future, Shami looks set to get a whopping pay rise as well. The India pacer was bought for Rs 6.25 crore in IPL 2022, which is going to take a significant incentive.
Shami, recently in a press conference, denied his potential retention at Gujarat Titans. But the pacer is certain to continue his stint with the Titans, who are also likely to keep Shubman Gill at the franchise. The Titans, who qualified for the playoffs in their first two seasons, finished outside the top-four in IPL 2024.
Shami, since joining the Titans in 2022, has been a key figure at the franchise. The 34-year-old picked up 20 wickets in IPL 2022, in which the Titans became the champions. In IPL 2023, Shami spearheaded the Titans pace attack and scalped 28 wickets.
