Rishabh Pant's IPL future has been on the edge as several reports have angeled a move away for the Indian wicketkeeper from Delhi Capitals.
The Indian wicketkeeper-batter, who captained Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024, has been linked with a move away from the team. There have been speculations about Pant moving to Chennai Super Kings to be a long-term replacement for MS Dhoni.

The Indian player suffered a road accident in 2022, which kept him out of cricket for almost 16 months. Pant returned to professional cricket with IPL in 2024 and was excellent for them. The southpaw led the team well and also kept the wickets superbly. He was also selected for the T20 World Cup and did well for the team.
But his IPL future has been far from settled as various reports said that Pant may finally leave the Capitals and play for a different team in IPL 2025.
Amid the speculations, Delhi Capitals' director of cricket Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that Rishabh Pant will stay at the franchise next season.
Ganguly confirmed to OneIndia Bengali that Pant will be playing for the Capitals next year. During an interview with the journalists on Sunday, Ganguly assured that DC will Pant for next season.
Ganguly also opened up on the next head coach for the Capitals. The franchise relieved Ricky Ponting off his head coach duties and as per reports, an Indian can take over the role at the Capitals. Ganguly can also be in the running for head coach but he is unlikely to take up the role.
