Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel and Yashasvi Jaiswal were on song as Rajasthan Royals warmed up for their IPL 2025 opening clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad by piling up a huge total in a practice match at the Sawai Mans in Jaipur.
Sanju Samson-led Royal will open their IPL 2025 campaign at the home of SRH - Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday, March 23. But before they travel down south, the Royals prepared themselves for a run-scoring feast.

Sunrisers hold the record for the highest total in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, having scored 287 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru last season thanks to the fireworks from the likes of Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen.
This year the Hyderabad franchise has added even more firepower in the form of Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan, who has been in smashing form, scoring three fifties in four innings during SRH's intra squad matches leading into the season opener.
SRH also posted scores of over 200 in all their four practice innings, including the biggest score of 260. RR has responded in equal measure during their practice matches, recently eclipsing the 260 of SRH.
Riyan Parag was the leading run scorer with an unbeaten 144 off 64 balls that included 10 sixes and 16 fours, while Dhruv Jurel (104* off 44 balls) and Jaiswal (83 runs from 34 balls) helped set a target of 274.
Parag has been in top run-scoring form since last season, when he scored 573 runs from 16 matches at a strike-rate of 135.14, while Jaiswal has impressed in the last couple of seasons, scoring 625 runs from 14 matches in 2023, and 435 runs from 16 matches in 2024.
Now, Dhruv Jurel too has joined the party, and will hope to have an improved season, having scored less than 200 runs in each of his two seasons at the Royals. RR has showed faith in the Indian wicketkeeper by retaining him alongside skipper Samson, Jaiswal, Parag, Shimron Hetmyer and Sandeep Sharma.
Going into the season on good form, RR's opening encounter against SRH promises to be a run feast with both teams packing a powerful batting line up. Expect another 200 plus contest at the Uppal Stadium this weekend.
