Rohit Sharma reached a major milestone during the IPL 2025 match between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur, becoming the first MI player to score over 6000 runs for the franchise. He scored 53 runs off 36 deliveries, hitting nine boundaries, and helped MI post a total of 217/2.

This milestone makes Rohit only the second player in IPL history to score 6000 or more runs for a single team, joining Virat Kohli, who has done it for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Rohit now has 6024 runs from 231 matches for MI.

In the match, Rohit survived an early LBW decision through a successful DRS review. He reviewed the decision just before the timer ran out, and replays confirmed the ball had pitched outside leg stump. He went on to score his third half-century in the last four matches.

The innings also saw a 116-run opening partnership with Ryan Rickelton, which is MI's best stand this season. Rohit's recent form has been vital in MI's campaign, with the team winning five consecutive matches and pushing into the top four.

Rohit has so far scored 293 runs in the IPL 2025, with the help of three centuries. The Mumbai Indians batter struggled with form early in the season but is now looking in stellar touch.
