IPL 2025: SRH fan Heckles and Taunts Travis Head on Public, says 'He is Showing Attitude' as Australian denies Selfie

Travis Head, the Australian left-handed batsman, has significantly bolstered Sunrisers Hyderabad since joining the franchise in 2024.

The Australian is a fan-favourite at the City of Nawabs and his scintillating batting has often been the cause for rejoicing for the Sunrisers fans.

In the 2024 season, Head emerged as SRH's leading run-scorer, amassing 567 runs at an average of 40.50 and an impressive strike rate of 191.55. Head's consistency continued into the 2025 season. As of April 8, 2025, he has scored 148 runs in five matches, averaging 29.60 with a strike rate of 189.74. His highest score this season is 67, and he has already notched up one half-century.

Amid this, a fan video involving the Australian has gone viral on social media. In the lives of a cricketer, they are often get surrounded at public places by fans. Although glamour and fan-following is a nice thing, it sometimes is a burden for anyone as it breaches mental peace, free roaming and independence of an individual.

What Happened?

But in a viral video, a SRH fan can be seen recording a reel involving Travis Head at a public mall. The player could be seen approached by the fan for an image but the Australian denied him a photo for obvious reasons.

The fan walks behind and can be seen asking Head for a photo repeatedly and teaching him morale lessons despite clear refusal from Head.

"Please Try to Understand. We Hyderabadis love you and you are not giving any response," the fan can be heard.

The fan then also complains about Head to a fellow person, saying 'He's showing too much Attitude'. It was uploaded on a social media profile and has since garnered a lot of criticism. Almost all the other fans have reprimanded the vlogger for his ill-behavior and inability to respect others' boundaries.

'Why would he entertain If you invade his Personal space,' someone commented on the video.

Maybe he isn't socially available. Respect his boundaries bro,' another fan wrote, echoing the same sentiment.

Our Take

It is a disappointing act from the fan without a shadow of doubt. The Aussie was completely within his own rights to deny him a photo and the kind of repulse and reaction the fan showed leaves a bad taste.
