IPL 2025: 'The Entire Country going to beat us' - KKR stars reveal alternate Identity of India Food, take part in Fusion Cuisine

By MyKhel Staff

In a spirited culinary crossover, Kolkata Knight Riders' West Indian stars Dwayne Bravo, Sunil Narine, and Andre Russell brought vibrant Caribbean energy into the Bengali kitchen in the latest episode of Knight Bite, the franchise's cooking show.

Titled 'West Indies meets Chicken Kosha', the episode celebrated more than just food as it showcased friendship, fun, and the fusion of two rich culinary traditions.

With celebrity chef Kunal Kapur guiding the session, the Trinidadian trio dived into making Kosha Murgi Mangsho, the iconic slow-cooked Bengali chicken dish, while bringing in their own island influences.

From the get-go, the debate on culinary lingo sparked playful banter. "No, the right way is called curry chicken," Bravo declared with his trademark grin.

"If we come on national TV and say chicken curry, the entire country is going to beat us," he quipped.

As Kapur cooked with mustard oil and potatoes, Bengali kitchen staples- the trio shared their own favourites. Bravo spoke passionately about "doubles," a Trinidadian street snack made of dough and curried chickpeas. He also listed bake and shark and roti as essential island bites: "Must-try whenever you come to Trinidad and Tobago."

In between the cooking, the episode unveiled glimpses into the stars' off-field lives. "Was I good in school? Not at all!" Bravo laughed, echoed by Narine, while Russell watched on in amusement. Narine also delved into his ever-evolving hairdos: "Styling hair is something I started a long while ago. And it just stuck with me."

Bravo, always the entertainer, added a touch of Bollywood by revealing Shah Rukh Khan's promise: "He said if I win trophies for Trinbago Knight Riders, he'll put me in a movie. I won four trophies."
