Dwayne Bravo has been appointed recently as the mentor for Kolkata Knight Riders. The former West Indies player has been roped in by the Knight Riders for the role as he leaves Chennai Super Kings.
Bravo, who has been a legend of the game, will be looking forward to his new role and as the mega auction arrives, will be a key mastermind behind the KKR strategy.

If KKR are unable to get Phil Salt in the auction, they may go for someone like Devon Conway. The Kiwi didn't play IPL in 2024 but has been a pillar in the CSK opening slot. Bravo, having seen the New Zealand opener closely, may be inclined to see him as an opener for the Knight Riders.
Sameer Rizvi didn't have the best of times with Chennai after being bought for a whopping Rs 8.2 crore. The UP batter had an underwhelming outing last season but he showcased his talent in the UP T20 this year as well. The youngster is known for his destructive batting and can be a perfect option for the Knight Riders in the middle-order if they fail to buy Ramandeep Singh in the auction.
Tushar Deshpande had a fantastic season with Chennai Super Kings last season but he may not be retained by the franchise. If KKR fail to keep hold of Harshit Rana in the auction, Deshpande is someone whom they can turn their eye into for their Indian pace bowling option.
