Well, nothing is really impossible in the truncated version of the game and we have seen Nepal becoming the first team ever to score a mind-boggling 300 runs in T20I history, posting a colossal total of 314 for 3 in just 20 overs in Asian Games.

However, no team has ever clocked 300 runs in the history of the IPL. In the last 17 editions of the IPL, the teams have bettered their totals by escalating the scoring rate throughout their quota of 20 overs.

In the previous edition, we have seen teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians posting mammoth totals. We might be able to see a 300 hit by a team in IPL 2025. Let's take a look at three teams that might hit 300 in the upcoming season, depending they have a similar performance next year.

1. Sunrisers Hyderabad: On batting-friendly surfaces, the Orange Army made use of the conditions to better effect in the IPL 2024 season, setting two impressive records, thus posting the two highest totals in the history of the IPL.

SRH posted 277/3 against Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad before they bettered the record by aggregating 287/3 against RCB at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, which is the highest-ever total recorded by a team in the league. With the kind of aggressive batters they have at their disposal, it's still a distinctive possibility that they just might break another record to score 300 runs in IPL 2025.

2. Kolkata Knight Riders: KKR were crowned the champions of the IPL 2024 edition by trouncing SRH in the showdown. In their title-winning campaign, the Knight Riders recorded the third-highest total in the tournament's history. They mustered 272/7 in their quota of 20 overs against Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam.

The three-time IPL champions also recorded another impressive total of 261/6 against Punjab Kings in the same season. KKR are one of the teams that have a power-packed batting unit and might be able to hit the jackpot of 300 runs in IPL 2025 on batting-friendly conditions.

3. Royal Challengers Bengaluru: While the Bengaluru-based outfit were on the receiving end of conceding too many runs against the opposition, they have also had the cutting edge in delivering quite the sucker punches time and again to record huge totals. RCB registered their highest total of 263/5 against Pune Warriors India in Bengaluru in 2013.

They came close to breaking this record but fell short by a couple of runs when they notched 262/7 against SRH in the run-chase, albeit in a losing cause. The Chinnaswamy track is often seen as a paradise for the batters and RCB do have enough firepower to touch 300 runs in IPL 2025.
