Vaibhav Suryavanshi etched his name into IPL 2025 history with a scintillating century against Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

The 14-year-old, heralded as one of the brightest rising stars of the season, played a pivotal role in Rajasthan Royals' emphatic chase, earning him the Player of the Match award.

Suryavanshi's breathtaking innings, laced with seven boundaries and 11 towering sixes, enabled the Royals to gun down a target in excess of 200 in just 15.5 overs, dismantling Gujarat Titans' bowling attack with fearless strokeplay.

Following his milestone performance, Suryavanshi reflected on his journey during a post-match interview, opening up about his family's sacrifices and the unwavering support they provided during the early days of his career.

Vaibhav's father, Sanjiv Suryavanshi, expressed immense pride in his son's achievement and credited both the Rajasthan Royals' management and the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) for nurturing his talent. He reserved special praise for head coach Rahul Dravid and the franchise's coaching team for their invaluable contribution to his son's growth.

"Today, in the IPL match, Vaibhav scored a century off just 35 balls and led his team, Rajasthan Royals, to victory. We are extremely happy with his achievement. Along with us, our entire region, district, the whole of Bihar, and the country are celebrating his brilliant batting. We sincerely thank the entire Rajasthan Royals management and the players for Vaibhav's growth and success. Over the last three to four months, Rajasthan Royals have kept Vaibhav with them and given him excellent practice," said Sanjiv Suryavanshi.

He further highlighted the collaborative effort behind Vaibhav's rise, acknowledging the vital inputs from several senior figures associated with Rajasthan Royals.

"Head coach Rahul Dravid Sir, batting coach Vikram Rathour Sir, Zubin Bharucha Sir, Sairaj Bahutule Sir, and Ruby Sir - all of them have worked together to refine and improve his game. Vaibhav himself has also worked very hard, and today's outstanding performance is the result of that effort. We would also like to sincerely thank BCA (Bihar Cricket Association) President Rakesh Tiwari and his family," he added.

Sanjiv Suryavanshi also underscored the pivotal role played by the BCA in providing early opportunities to his son.

"At a very young age, he gave Vaibhav the opportunity to represent Bihar, and Vaibhav has made the most of it by showcasing his talent and reaching this milestone today," he concluded.
