Star India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Virat Kohli on Sunday (April 13) drew level with former Australian batter David Warner for a big Indian Premier League (IPL) record.
With an unbeaten fifty against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 match 28, the 36-year-old Indian stalwart equalled former Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Warner's record of most 50 plus scores in the IPL.

Kohli and Warner now have 66 fifty-plus scores to their names in 250 and 184 innings, respectively. Kohli has scored 8 centuries and 58 fifties, while Warner has scored 62 fifties and 4 hundreds in his IPL career.
Warner holds the record for most 50s, while Kohli tops the list for most 100s in the lucrative league, having broken legendary Chris Gayle's record in the 2023 season. Here is a look at the players with most 50-plus scores in IPL history:
With his knock on Sunday, Kohli scored his third fifty of the ongoing season and also reached a big landmark in the shortest format by becoming the second player in men's cricket after Warner to score 100 fifties in T20s overall. Here is a look at the players with highest number of 50s in T20s:
Earlier this month, Kohli also became the first-ever Indian batter to cross the 13,000-run mark in T20s during the encounter against Mumbai Indians. The former India captain became the fifth player overall to reach the milestone after Chris Gayle, Alex Hales, Shoaib Malik and Kieron Pollard.
