After 18 long years of chasing the elusive title, Virat Kohli finally lifted the IPL trophy with Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The emotional climax was a reward for his loyalty, resilience, and unmatched passion.

RCB, on the Tuesday night in Ahmedabad, edged past Punjab Kings by 6 runs, thus winning their maiden IPL title. And for Kohli, who has given his heart and soul to the franchise, was over the moon.

A teary-eyed Virat was seen at the boundary just after RCB won the title. Then Kohli was emotional again as he met his wife and gave her a warm hug. The India star's raw emotion was palpable as he celebrated with his teammates after the magnificent win.

Apart from Kohli, there were two special RCB legends at the stands, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle. De Villiers has been a stalwart for the franchise and was part of the commentary team, while Gayle was also present, showcasing his support.

Kohli dedicated the win to AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle, acknowledging their roles in shaping RCB's identity. "This is theirs too," Kohli was heard saying. And after that, the trio talked with Jio Hotstar, depicting the title win.

"What made it even more special was having AB right there at the boundary line during the last two overs. I told him, 'I'm going to go (cry), it's too much to take.' I had to hold back tears during the last three balls of that innings-only he knows how that feels. Sharing this moment with AB and Chris means everything to me. I spent my prime years playing alongside them. We tried so hard, came so close, and had such an explosive team back then- but we could never cross the line," Kohli said after the match to Jio Hotstar.

"It's as much theirs as it is mine. You see it when they come to Bengaluru -the love people have for them is unreal. It's because fans recognize how much heart and soul they poured into this team. They absolutely deserve this as much as I do. This (trophy) is equally theirs," he added.

RCB legend AB de Villiers is a staunch supporter of the franchise and it was indeed a special moment for him.

After winning the IPL title, there is a huge celebration to be held in Bengaluru on Wednesday (June 4). The team is set to reach the Garden City in the afternoon and will meet the Karnataka CM around 4 pm. After that, a huge open top bus parade is set to be held from Vidhana Soudha to the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, and the celebrations will continue there as well.
