The IPL 2025 clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) promises to be a high-stakes encounter, scheduled for May 23.
Originally set to be hosted at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the match has now been shifted to a different location.

While RCB have already secured a top-two finish with 17 points from 12 matches, their objective now will be to sustain momentum heading into the playoffs. For SRH, the equation is simple yet tough - they must win both of their remaining matches to stay in contention for a spot in the top four.
Historically, SRH hold a slight edge in the head-to-head record with 13 wins from 25 encounters, compared to RCB's 11, with one match yielding no result.
The match between RCB and SRH has now been moved to Lucknow's Ekana Stadium from Bengaluru, as per various reports. It means that Virat Kohli and co. will be playing their home match in Lucknow, denying the RCB fans a chance to tribute him after his Test retirement.
The RCB vs SRH match has been shifted to Lucknow because of the weather conditions in Bengaluru. Rain has been prevalent in Bengaluru for the last few days and it predicts a similar weather condition around May 23 as well.
The previous match at the Chinnaswamy was cancelled out between RCB and KKR due to rain last Saturday (May 17), which has prompted the BCCI to relocate the match to Lucknow. Ekana Stadium is the home ground of the Lucknow Super Giants and is now set to host this group stage encounter as well.
