IPL 2025: Yuzvendra Chahal Equals Sunil Narine Record For Most 4-Plus Wicket Hauls in Indian Premier League

Punjab Kings (PBKS) spinner Yuzvendra Chahal drew level with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) legend Sunil Narine for most four-wicket plus hauls in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Tuesday (April 15).

Chahal achieved this milestone during PBKS' 16-run victory over KKR at the New PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh (Mullanpur). During the match, Chahal delivered a game-changing spell of 4/28 in four overs.

The seasoned Indian leg-spinner, who had yet to make an impression since his Rs 18 Crore buy at the mega auction, struck at the right time claiming wickets of Ajinkya Rahane, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Rinku Singh and Ramandeep Singh leading to KKR's collapse from 62/2 to 95 all out while chasing 112 runs.

With this latest spell of 4 for 28, Chahal equalled Narine's tally as both senior spinner now have eight four-wicket hauls in their IPL careers, the most by any bowler. This was Chahal's third 4-plus wicket haul vs KKR, the most by a bowler against an opponent in the IPL.
