IPL 2026: A Look At Different IPL Final Venues Over The Years
The BCCI has recently announced the venues and schedule for the IPL 2026 playoffs, confirming a significant change to the tournament's marquee fixture. In a notable development, the final has been shifted from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad, drawing attention from fans and stakeholders alike.
As per the revised schedule, Qualifier 1 will be played on May 26 at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala. The action will then move to the New International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, which will host the Eliminator on May 27 and Qualifier 2 on May 29. The grand finale is set to take place on May 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the world's largest cricket venue.

Explaining the decision, the BCCI stated that the relocation was necessitated by certain logistical and operational requirements from local authorities in Bengaluru that fell outside the board's established guidelines and protocols. Reports have also indicated that issues surrounding ticket allocations and demands from local representatives may have played a role in the venue change. Interestingly, it will be the fourth final hosted by Ahmedabad.
Here's a look at the different venues over the years.
