IPL 2026 Auction: Venkatesh Iyer to Cameron Green - Rs 2 Crore Base Price Players by Countries

The IPL 2026 auction is set to take place on December 16 in Abu Dhabi, as 1355 players have already registered for the bidding event.

The ten IPL franchises will be aiming to bolster and complete their squad ahead of the new season, which promises to be a blockbuster yet again.

IPL 2026 Auction Venkatesh Iyer to Full List of Rs 2 Crore Base Price Players in Mini Auction

Among the players, 45 of them have listed themselves in the highest base price category, which is Rs 2 crore. Two Indians, Venkatesh Iyer and Ravi Bishnoi are among the players with the highest base price. Bishnoi was let go by Lucknow Super Giants, whereas Iyer was released by the Kolkata Knight Riders after a windfall in the mega auction.

43 overseas players are in the 2 crore list across eight countries, with players such as Cameron Green, Liam Livingstone, David Miller up for grabs as well. Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman is the solitary one with the high base value, while Kiwi stars Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra are also in the list. Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana, who was released by CSK, is also among the players.

The IPL franchises announced their retentions ahead of the auction on November 15. The Knight Riders released the maximum number of players, while Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings released the least of them. Moreover, players such as Andre Russell, Faf du Plessis, Moeen Ali and Glenn Maxwell have so far announced their non-availability in the auction.

Kolkata Knight Riders lead with ₹64.30cr remaining and 13 slots (6 overseas), offering maximum flexibility for marquee buys like all-rounders. Chennai Super Kings follow at ₹43.40cr (9 slots, 4 overseas), bolstered by trades like Sanju Samson.​

Sunrisers Hyderabad (₹25.50cr, 10 slots), Lucknow Super Giants (₹22.95cr, 6 slots), and Delhi Capitals (₹21.80cr, 8 slots) hold mid-tier purses for targeted reinforcements. At the lower end, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (₹16.40cr), Rajasthan Royals (₹16.05cr), Gujarat Titans (₹12.90cr), Punjab Kings (₹11.50cr), and Mumbai Indians (₹2.75cr, just 5 slots) must prioritize value picks amid tight budgets.
