IPL 2026: Gujarat Titans register Biggest Win in Their History after crushing Rajasthan Royals

Gujarat Titans produced a clinical all-round display to crush Rajasthan Royals by 77 runs in Match 52 of IPL 2026 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday.

The victory, GT's biggest win by runs in their IPL history, kept their playoff hopes alive while exposing Rajasthan Royals' fragile batting once again.

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bowl first on a pitch that offered good carry and true bounce. However, GT's openers Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan tore into the bowling from the outset. The duo forged a blistering 118-run partnership in just 11.2 overs, with Gill stroking a commanding 84 off 44 balls, laced with nine boundaries and three sixes. Sudharsan complemented him perfectly with a fluent 55 off 36. Late acceleration came from Washington Sundar (37 not out) and Rahul Tewatia, helping GT post a daunting 229 for 4 in 20 overs.

Brijesh Sharma was the pick of RR's bowlers with 2 for 47, but the rest leaked runs at will.

The chase was over almost before it began. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi provided a brief spark with 36 off 16, while Ravindra Jadeja top-scored with a gritty 38 off 25. But Rashid Khan's magical spell of 4 for 33 triggered a dramatic collapse. Jason Holder (3 for 12) and Kagiso Rabada (2 for 33) then ripped through the lower order as RR were bundled out for 152 in just 16.3 overs.

The result leaves GT firmly in the playoff race with crucial net-run-rate boost, while RR must regroup quickly to arrest their slide. The win is also the Titans' biggest in terms of run margin as they won by 77 runs. The Shubman Gill-led side are placed 2nd now in the table and are firmly in the race for a top-two finish as well.
