IPL 2026: Phil Salt to Jos Buttler - England Players to Keep an Eye On, Form Guide from T20 World Cup

By MyKhel Staff

As the IPL 2026 is set to commence in ten days, a number of England players will be in focus. After the T20 World Cup 2026 mega event, the IPL will be another big test for the overseas stars who are expected to play a key part.

IPL 2026 Phil Salt to Jos Buttler - England Players to Keep an Eye On Form Guide from T20 World Cup

Jos Buttler (Gujarat Titans)

Jos Buttler had a disappointing T20 World Cup 2026, struggling for consistency as England's opener and wicketkeeper. In 8 innings, he scored 87 runs at an average of 10.87 and a strike rate of 116. Buttler had a stellar outing with the Titans last season and the Englishman will be desperate to turn things around in the IPL.

Phil Salt (Royal Challengers Bengaluru)

Phil Salt had a mixed T20 World Cup 2026 as England's aggressive opener and wicketkeeper, playing 8 matches. He scored 130 runs across his innings at an average of 16.25 and a high strike rate, hitting 13 sixes overall. His power-hitting was evident, and with RCB, Salt will be expecting to provide them solid starts with the bat.

Ben Duckett (Delhi Capitals)

Ben Duckett was roped in by Delhi Capitals in the auction. The southpaw was part of the England squad in T20 World Cup but didn't play a match.

Will Jacks (Mumbai Indians)

Will Jacks was one of England's standouts, smashing 226 runs at an average of 56.50 and strike rate of 176.56, with multiple unbeaten knocks. His explosive lower-middle order hitting and off-spin (9 wickets) made him a frequent match-winner, earning several Player of the Match awards. The 27-year-old is a player to watch as Mumbai Indians will be expecting to exploit his services.

Jacob Bethell (Royal Challengers Bengaluru)

The young all-rounder emerged as England's breakout star, scoring 280 runs at an average of 35 and strike rate of 152, including a stunning 105 off 48 in the semi-final against India. RCB have a strong squad, and Bethell's presence further bolsters their side ahead of the IPL 2026 season.

Sam Curran (Rajasthan Royals)

Sam Curran provided all-round value with left-arm pace and finishing cameos. He bowled economically in death overs and contributed handy lower-order runs. The all-rounder moved to Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2026 and will have a key role.

Jofra Archer (Rajasthan Royals)

Jofra Archer was decent with 11 wickets in the T20 World Cup 2026, but he was expensive in most of the encounters. The England pacer had a beating against India, where he conceded 61 runs in four overs. Set to play for the Royals, Archer will have to improve his bowling in the powerplay to contain the batters.
