Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Ishan Kishan has revealed his pre-match talks with fellow Bihar prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi ahead of their IPL 2026 match.

In a jaw-dropping display in Jaipur on April 25, 15-year-old prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi turned the RR vs SRH clash into his personal fireworks show. Opening the innings, the Rajasthan Royals sensation smashed a breathtaking 103 off just 37 balls, a 36-ball century that ranks as the third-fastest in IPL history.

Starting aggressively with multiple sixes in the first over, he hammered 12 sixes and 5 fours, racing to his fifty in 15 balls and century in 36 balls. The youngster also became the fastest player to score 1000 T20 runs, and also registered a record as the player to score two centuries under 40 deliveries.

And after the match, SRH captain Ishan Kishan revealed his chat with Sooryavanshi ahead of the match. Speaking to Star Sports, Kishan said that he told the 15-year-old to take it easy against the bowlers.

"I was just telling him about the madness with which he is batting and how he is hitting. Sometimes, you are even scared thinking about what the scorecard could have looked like if he had stayed for a few more overs. So, it was important for us to get his wicket. It was 228, it could have easily been 258. Cricket is all about comebacks. We got him out and made a little comeback there. That's what I told him, 'When I am playing against you, please go a little easy on my team. I know all your secrets and inside stories,'" Kishan said.

Despite Sooryavanshi's stellar knock, SRH completed the chase with 9 balls to spare and has now registered four victories in a row. Ishan Kishan himself played a stellar knock of 74 in just 31 deliveries, hitting 11 fours and 3 sixes.
