IPL 2026: Punjab Kings record Highest Powerplay Score This Season, Create Unique Record

Punjab Kings have made a thrilling start to their run chase in the IPL 2026 match against Delhi Capitals on Saturday (April 25).

Punjab Kings have scored 105/0 in the powerplay, which is the highest total for them in the first six overs in IPL history. The total is also the highest score in the first six overs this season.

In the sixth over, Prabhsimran hit Mukesh Kumar for six consecutive fours and made it a 24-run over as they moved to 116 for no loss. Prabhsimran is batting on 71 runs off just 23 balls, while Priyansh Arya bats on 38 off 14. The duo have hit 9 fours and 10 sixes so far in this innings.

This is also the highest powerplay score this season, as the PBKS duo have gone past Sunrisers Hyderabad, who scored 105 against them earlier in Mullanpur.
