IPL 2026: RCB secure 2nd Biggest Victory in IPL History after mauling Delhi Capitals

Royal Challengers Bengaluru registered a stellar victory over Delhi Capitals in their IPL 2026 match on Monday (April 27) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

After bundling out Delhi Capitals for just 75 runs, the RCB side chased it down within 7 overs and won the match by 9 wickets.

Delhi Capitals suffered a shocking collapse in their innings, losing debutant Sahil Parakh to Bhuvneshwar Kumar's second-ball demolition of his stumps. KL Rahul, fresh off a 152 in the previous game, fell for just 1, triggering a nightmare sequence: Tristan Stubbs (5), Sameer Rizvi (0), Axar Patel (0), and Nitish Rana (1) all departed in quick succession, slumping the side to a dire 8/6.

Impact sub Abishek Porel steadied the ship alongside David Miller, forging a vital stand to dodge immediate defeat. Miller departed for 19 soon after, and Kyle Jamieson resisted briefly with 12, but DC were skittled out for a paltry 75. Porel top-scored with a gritty 30. Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed 3 wickets, while Josh Hazlewood stole the show with a devastating 4-fer.

In reply, RCB chased it down with ease. Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 23 while Devdutt Padikkal also played a superb knock of 34 runs in just 13 deliveries, with 3 fours and 3 sixes. With the victory, RCB have consolidated their position at the 2nd place.

Biggest IPL Wins with Balls to Spare

RCB won the match with 81 balls to spare, which makes it the 2nd biggest win in IPL in terms of balls to spare. Mumbai Indians' victory over KKR remains the number one till date, when they chased out KKR's score of 63 in 5.3 overs.
