IPL 2026: ‘Lo De Ditta Ek Point’ Shreyas Iyer’s Sister Social Media Post Goes Viral After KKR vs PBKS Match Washout- Watch
KKR vs PBKS: A rain-hit evening at Eden Gardens saw the clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings end in a washout on Monday, but a light-hearted off-field moment quickly became the talking point.
Shortly after the match was abandoned, Shresta Iyer, sister of PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer, shared a humorous Instagram reel that went viral. In the video, she quipped, "Saade Punjabiyan da dil vadda hunda hai, lo de ditta ek point," playfully suggesting Punjab had "given away" a point after the washout.
KKR Get One Point Due To Washout
On the field, however, it was a frustrating night for both sides. Persistent rain and a damp outfield meant no further play was possible, with the game halted at 25/2 in 3.4 overs. Despite multiple inspections and an extended cut-off window, conditions never improved enough for a restart.
The shared point lifted Punjab Kings to the top of the table with five points from three matches, underlining their strong start to the season. In contrast, KKR finally opened their account but remain under pressure with just one point from three games.

Earlier in the evening, KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane opted to bat first, a call that quickly backfired. With frontline spinners Sunil Narine (illness) and Varun Chakravarthy (injury) unavailable, the side was already stretched.
Punjab's pace attack made full use of the overcast conditions. Xavier Bartlett struck twice in one over, removing Finn Allen and Cameron Green, while Arshdeep Singh set the tone early with a probing opening spell.
Allen had a couple of reprieves before edging one while trying to force the pace, while Green's lean run continued with another early dismissal. With KKR reeling, Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi began a cautious rebuild before rain interrupted proceedings.
The weather soon worsened, with strong winds and heavy showers lashing the venue and even causing structures around the ground to sway. Although there was a brief window where play looked possible, wet patches near the boundary and lingering moisture ruled out any restart.
After several inspections involving officials, including Sourav Ganguly, the match was officially called off at 11 pm.
The abandoned fixture mirrored last season's washout between the two sides at the same venue. For KKR, concerns around form and availability continue, while Punjab Kings march on with momentum.
