IPL 2026: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi creates Record
Vaibhav Suryavanshi's record-breaking 2026 campaign stands atop this elite list with 30 powerplay sixes, a remarkable feat for a teenager as he has now surpassed Abhishek Sharma to hit the maximum sixes in an IPL season in powerplay.
Abhishek Sharma dominates twice - his 2024 season produced 29, while his ongoing 2026 run sits at 27. Sanath Jayasuriya brought his legendary powerplay carnage to the IPL's inaugural 2008 season, smashing 22. Travis Head matched that tally in 2024, bringing his signature T20 explosiveness, while Yashasvi Jaiswal equalled the mark in 2025.
The 15-year-old Bihar boy has been sensational in the IPL 2026 season so far. Sooryavanshi has amassed 440 runs in this season and is on course to become the youngest player to score 500 runs in an IPL season. He has already scored a century and has hit 40 sixes in this season, 30 off which has come in powerplays.
