IPL 2026: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi gets 'Revenge' over Praful Hinge, Hits 4 Mammoth Sixes!

In a stunning display of audacity and payback, 15-year-old Rajasthan Royals sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi dismantled Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Praful Hinge with four consecutive sixes in the opening over of their IPL 2026 reverse fixture at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur today (April 25).

What made the moment even sweeter? Just 12 days earlier, Hinge had dismissed the teenage prodigy for a golden duck on his own IPL debut, scripting one of the most dramatic bowling performances in league history.

Praful Hinge took Vaibhav's Wicket

The stage was set for high drama. In the first leg on April 13 at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, uncapped SRH speedster Praful Hinge - a 24-year-old lanky right-armer from Vidarbha making only his second T20 appearance ever - announced himself in unforgettable fashion. Bowling the first over of RR's chase of 217, Hinge claimed three wickets in six balls, including Sooryavanshi for a first-ball duck.

Fast-forward to Jaipur. RR, third on the points table with momentum at home, were hungry for revenge against fourth-placed SRH. Pat Cummins, back in charge for SRH, won the toss and elected to bowl first under lights. Hinge was handed the new ball once again - and Sooryavanshi was waiting.

The 15-year-old left-hander, already the youngest player and centurion in IPL history with a strike rate touching 220 this season, treated Hinge like a net bowler. The over went for a staggering 25 runs, featuring four sixes.

In the very first over of the match, the teenager smashed Hinge. After a dot in the first one, he went four sixes in a row. The first one was deposited in the square-leg area, while the second one landed behind the stumps at the long-leg area. The hat-trick six was on the offside and then the final ball of the over flew over long-on for another six.

Sooryavanshi's timing, power, and fearless intent were on full display as he deposited the paceman into the stands repeatedly, racing towards yet another 15-ball half-century. In the second over of Hinge, Vaibhav again smashed him for a boundary.

At the time of publishing, the southpaw is batting on 77 runs off just 30 deliveries, hitting 3 fours and 9 sixes so far in this knock. RR are 112/1 at the end of 10 overs and look set to post a big total.
