IPL 2026: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi makes Stunning Revelation amid Batting Mayhem, Says 'I Watch....'
Gujarat Titans (GT) take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Qualifier 2 as the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 nears its thrilling conclusion.
With a spot in the final against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) up for grabs, the stakes could not be higher at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh. While GT brings a formidable bowling lineup to the table, their primary focus will undoubtedly be on containing one player: Rajasthan's 15-year-old breakout sensation, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

Sooryavanshi has been the undisputed breakout star of IPL 2026. Entering Qualifier 2, the teenager proudly wears the Orange Cap, having amassed a staggering 680 runs in just 15 innings at a phenomenal strike rate of 242.86.
His performance in the Eliminator against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) earlier this week was nothing short of historic. Sooryavanshi bludgeoned 97 runs off a mere 29 balls, narrowly missing the record for the fastest IPL century. However, he did shatter Chris Gayle's long-standing record for the most sixes in a single IPL season, hitting 12 maximums in that innings alone to bring his season total to an unbelievable 65 sixes.
Yet, despite his extraordinary achievements on the field and the massive media attention, Sooryavanshi remains remarkably grounded, holding onto his childlike innocence. When the pressure of high-stakes franchise cricket builds, he turns to cartoons.
In a recent interview with Jio Hotstar, the young prodigy revealed how he unwinds from the intense demands of professional cricket.
"When I used to stay at home two or three years ago and played matches or practised there, whenever I had free time at home, I used to watch cartoons, and I really enjoyed it," Sooryavanshi said. "Even now, whenever I feel like I need some relaxation or peace, I watch cartoons. I sit comfortably in my room and watch whichever cartoons I like. It feels really nice and reminds me a lot of home," Sooryavanshi said.
While he is dismantling international bowling attacks and rewriting T20 records, he is still fundamentally a teenager navigating the pressures of sudden fame.
As the Rajasthan Royals step onto the field tonight for Qualifier 2, they will rely heavily on Sooryavanshi's explosive bat to secure their ticket to Ahmedabad.
