IPL 2026: What is Pink Promise of Rajasthan Royals? When will RR Play This Match?
Rajasthan Royals are set to play their traditional 'Pink Promise' match of the IPL 2026 season, as it was announced by the franchise on Wednesday (May 6).

What is Pink Promise?
Pink Promise is Rajasthan Royals’ flagship social initiative led by the Royal Rajasthan Foundation (RRF). It is a long-term commitment to women-led transformation that uses the power of cricket to create measurable, sustainable impact in communities.
Built on the belief “Aurat Hai Toh Bharat Hai” (If the woman thrives, India thrives), the programme empowers women through skill development, training, and livelihood opportunities — especially in solar energy installation, maintenance, and community leadership.
Every year, the initiative culminates in the Pink Promise Match, where the team wears its iconic all-pink jersey, turning cricket into a platform for clean energy access and women’s empowerment.
When are they playing this match?
The Pink Promise Match will be played on Saturday, May 9, 2026, when Rajasthan Royals host Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. This will be the franchise’s dedicated home fixture for the initiative in IPL 2026.
Pink Promise Match 2026: On-Field Action, Off-Field Impact
Now in its third year, the Pink Promise Match sees the Royals take the field in their signature all-pink jersey. For every six hit during the match, six homes in Rajasthan will be electrified with solar power — directly linking every boundary on the pitch to real change on the ground.
This Season’s Special Pink Jersey
The 2026 Pink Promise jersey was designed through the Royals HunaRR Manch – Season 2: Rajasthan Royals Pink Promise Jersey Design Competition, which received over 8,500 entries from more than 700 designers across India.
The winning design was created by 19-year-old Samiksha Rameshwar Mundada from Nashik. It features a subtle ripple pattern symbolising how one woman’s empowerment creates waves of change across families and communities, along with solar-inspired elements and the names of women supported by RRF.
Women at the Heart of Change
Women from the Sambhar region, trained through Royal Rajasthan Foundation programmes, play a pivotal role in the installation, maintenance, and long-term sustainability of the solar infrastructure.
“The Pink Promise has grown into a powerful movement where cricket directly contributes for good beyond the game. We have seen this initiative translate into real, tangible impact on the ground. As we step into another season, we remain committed to scaling this impact further and continuing to drive women-led transformation.”
