IPL: '4 CSK players involved in fixing', claims Lalit Modi

Bengaluru, May 11: Former Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner Lalit Modi dropped a bombshell on Monday afternoon as he claimed at least 4 Chennai Super Kings (CSK) players were "involved in fixing".

Modi took to Twitter to put out his "BREAKING STORY" on Monday as he wrote, "So here is my BREAKING STORY - IF THE #HONORABLE #SUPREME #COURT WAS TO REVEAL THE NAMES OF PLAYERS INVOLVED IN FIXING - at least 4 are CSK." He said both Indian and international players were involved.

In a series of Tweets, Modi said a lot of money was involved in betting on IPL games. He said, "9,000-10,000 crores per game" was the betting money on the cash-rich Twenty20 league.

IPL is in its 8th edition this year. CSK have won the tournament twice. Paceman S Sreesanth of Rajasthan Royals was banned for life by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for his alleged involvement in spot-fixing during IPL 2013.
