The IPL Auction 2024 is all set to get underway at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Tuesday (December 19) with several high-profile cricketers expected to be in attendance for the bidding war as they build the team for the 2024 edition.
As per a report by Sportstar, Delhi Capitals mentor and former India captain Sourav Ganguly will be attending the IPL Auction 2024 while the franchise captain Rishabh Pant is also going to be at the event. The wicketkeeper-batter is also expected to return to field with IPL 2024.

Ricky Ponting will also be at the Delhi Capitals in the capacity of head coach. Also in attendance would be Kolkata Knight Riders' new mentor Gautam Gambhir, who returns to the franchise for the first time since 2017 and had the most successful tenure with KKR by adding two titles. He will be accompanied by former India batter Abhishek Nayyar and former Australia opener Justin Langer.
Mark Boucher will also be present as the head coach of Mumbai Indians, along with Mahela Jayawardene as the mentor. Sanjay Bangar will be at the Punjab Kings table as the head of cricket development. Sri Lanka's Kumara Sangakkara will be at the Rajasthan Royals table while his compatriot Muttiah Muralitharan will be at Sunirsers Hyderabad table.
CSK head coach Stephen Fleming will be at the table as well with Andy Flower will be at the Lucknow Supergiants table.
Going back to Delhi Capitals Rishabh Pant has been a crucial component of Delhi Capitals' pre-auction meetings in Dubai over the past two days. Pant will attend the Tuesday auction, a member of the ownership group revealed.
The fact that Pant is so deeply involved is also a strong indication that the wicketkeeper-batter will make his competitive cricket comeback on March 22 when the Indian Premier League's 2024 season kicks off.
Speaking with assurance, a different member of the Capitals' management team indicated that Pant will be available for the whole 2024 Indian Premier League. Contrary to what some media outlets have said, the Capitals' management is optimistic that Pant will provide significantly more to the team than just hitting as an Impact Player.
Pant has undergone numerous lower body surgeries since being involved in a major car accident on the Dehradun-Delhi highway. The attractive hitter has posted videos to his social media accounts chronicling his fitness comeback. It would be a huge boost for the team, which has yet to win an IPL title if he were to return to manage the Capitals.
