Delhi Capitals has bought the Australian batter Jake Fraser-McGurk for a price of Rs. 9 crore using the RTM card. The 22-year-old youngster was placed into Set 3 along with five other legendary batters, with a base price of Rs. 2.00 crore.
After a long battle, PBKS emerged as the winner to sign the batter, but DC used the RTM card. However, Punjab pushed the value to Rs. 9 crore, but DC again matched that, and as a result, DC got the hard-hitter back for the upcoming seasons.

Jake Fraser-McGurk is an Australian cricketer known for his aggressive batting style, often opening the innings or coming in at the top order. His natural attacking approach is marked by an ability to play inventive shots, particularly in T20 cricket, where he thrives on fast-paced deliveries and can switch gears quickly. His footwork and timing, especially on the off-side, have made him an exciting prospect in domestic and franchise cricket. Fraser-McGurk's versatility allows him to adapt to various match situations, whether it's laying a solid foundation or accelerating in the latter stages of an innings.
As of his IPL career, he was picked by the Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2024. Though he has had limited opportunities, especially at the later phase of the tournaments, he utilised the chances and proved his worth as a top-order batter in T20 cricket. In his IPL career, he has played only 9 matches and scored a total of 330 runs. He ended the season with a strike rate of 234 and hit 28 sixes. Hence, a bidding war was expected at the mega auction in Jeddah to sign this youngster.
