Will Jacks, the 26-year-old English right-handed batter, entered the auction on the last day of the IPL 2025 mega auction for a base price of Rs. 2 crores and was sold to MI for a price of Rs. 5.25 crore.
There was a brief bidding war between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings for the English all-rounder, where MI won the battle. However, RCB had the option to use an RTM card, but RCB decided not to use it.

The explosive English all-rounder is known for his hard-hitting batting and handy off-spin bowling. Jacks made his IPL debut in the 2023 season with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) after being signed for Rs. 3.2 crore during the auction. Although he missed the 2022 IPL due to injury, he showcased glimpses of his immense potential in the 2023 season, contributing as a dynamic middle-order batter and a part-time bowler.
