Delhi Capitals have made a monumental commitment towards the development of their home ground in Delhi.
The IPL franchise plays their cricket at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, formerly known as the Feroz Shah Kotla. The stadium has been up for renovation ahead of the ODI World Cup, and now looks set to get a helping hand froM Delhi Capitals.

The Stadium will get Rs 75 crore from Delhi Capitals as they have collaborated with DDCA for the enhancement and upkeep of the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
A report from Times of India says the DC owner Parth Jindal has come forward and is working with DDCA President Rohan Jaitley for the renovation. BCCI has allotted Rs 50 crore for the refurbishment, and DC's contribution will further help them in the cause.
The primary aim for the franchise and DDCA is to enhance the quality of the ground a provide a much better experience for the spectators. Also, there are plans to install two high-end hospitality boxes, which will be permanently installed by IPL 2024.
"There have been discussions to set up two classy hospitality boxes in the stadium. The idea is to set up temporary boxes by the World Cup and finish the project by the next IPL. The stadium has received many complaints with regards to crowd experience during matches. DDCA and Capitals have put that as a priority," a source was quoted as saying by Times of India.
The source also confirmed that the grounds are set to get an influx of money from franchises and compared it with the European football stadiums, where the club owners maintain and renovate the stadiums for their own club's use.
Delhi Capitals have a Women's Premier League (WPL) team and with the upcoming home and away rules of the tournament, DC will require the stadium both in IPL and WPL.
Delhi Capitals have thus become the first IPL team to provide maintenance and assistance of a stadium during non-IPL months. This is also the first time an IPL franchise has committed this huge amount of money for a stadium.
