Mitchell Starc: Great night for KKR. What a game, what a season. Probably the two most exciting teams in the final, it was a great final. We have had a fantastic squad of bowlers and batters, our staff have been fantastic to get everyone peaking. We've been such a consistent side, contributions from everyone. We lost the toss and got to use the ball first. Having watched the match a few nights ago here, not really what the wicket was going to do. It was about adapting. Shreyas was fantastic with the way he used the bowlers and fields. Credits to him. The bowling unit showed all the skills. There's been jokes about the money. It's been a long time since I have played the IPL. I am experienced, that's helped with all the expectations. Glad that I am experienced and older. It's been a lot of fun. Full credit to the whole players and staff.
Runners Up: Pat Cummins - the captain of SRH - collects the shield and a cheque of INR 12.5 crore.
Sunil Narine: Coming into the ground today, it felt like 2012. The feeling is overwhelming and I couldn't have asked for a better birthday gift. I am enjoying my cricket at the moment - batting, bowling and fielding. What helps is when the team is winning. (Batting) Getting the role to just go out there and express myself, getting team off to a flyer, the support from GG - that was very good. Salty played an incredible season. We missed him but Gurbaz came in and filled the role. Once you have an opening partner with the same intent, it's good for the team.

The award ceremony finally begins! But no apologies for the delay by the organisers. Nevertheless, let's get down to the business
Brett Lee remarks the same! The wait for presentation ceremony is longer than KKR's innings, which lasted less than 11 overs. There has to be an explanation coming from the organisers!

This is really reflecting bad on organisers BCCI now as fans are expressing their anger on social media, especially those who spent on tickets for the match tonight
@IPL you know what it takes to host a cricket match. And a final at that. Why can’t you create an award ceremony that takes logistics into consideration. 30 minutes & so much still being set up for a tv & ott spectacle that many finally left the stadium.

Now players are tired of waiting too as it's a never-ending wait for the presentation ceremony!

IPL debutant Jake Fraser-McGurk wins the Punch.Ev Electric Striker of the season as he finishes the season with a strike rate of 234.04.
Among Indians, Dinesh Karthik had the best strike rate of 187.35

While we wait for the presentation ceremony to begin, let's take a look at some of the more top performers from the season, starting with Abhishek Sharma hitting most sixes this season at 42
This may annoy many but it has been an hour since the match ended. Meanwhile SRK is done with the victory lap too
It seems like the presentation ceremony is taking longer than the KKR's innings. We are as puzzled as you are behind the delay. Till then enjoy SRK's charisma some more

KKR have won the IPL third time now and are only the third team behind the heavyweights CSK (4 times) and MI (5 times) to achieve the mark. In all three titles, Gautam Gambhir in a leadership role is a key factor with Sunil Narine the X Factor

With the presentation ceremony yet to start, Shahrukh Khan takes a victory round of the Chepauk Stadium to say thanks to the fans for showing up tonight despite CSK not featuring in the final
Opting to bat first, SRH got off to a disastrous start. Mitchell Starc's opening over set the tone, with Abhishek Sharma bowled by a perfect delivery that clipped the top of the off stump. This early breakthrough was quickly compounded as Starc produced a beautiful outswinger to dismiss Travis Head for a first-ball duck. With the score at a precarious 6/2, SRH's hopes rested on a steady rebuild, but it was not to be.
Rahul Tripathi's dismissal for 13, also to Starc, left SRH reeling at 21/3 within the first five overs. KKR's bowlers, led by Starc, continued to exploit the conditions effectively. First-change bowler Harshit Rana joined the party, removing Nitish Reddy, who managed only 13 runs. SRH captain Aiden Markram attempted to stabilize the innings but fell to Andre Russell in his first over, leaving SRH in tatters at 62/5 by the 11th over.
From there, the SRH innings never recovered. Despite a valiant effort from Pat Cummins, who top-scored with 24, the team was bundled out for a meager 113 in 18.3 overs. Russell emerged as the most successful bowler with figures of 3/19, supported by Starc's 2/14 and Rana's 2/24. KKR's disciplined bowling attack ensured SRH posted the lowest ever total in an IPL final.
In response, KKR approached the modest target with confidence. Rahmanullah Gurbaz gave KKR a solid start, scoring 39 off 32 balls, anchoring the innings before falling to a catch in the deep. His efforts were complemented by Venkatesh Iyer, who played a mature knock, reaching a well-deserved half-century. Iyer's unbeaten innings guided KKR to the target with ease, finishing at 114/2 in 14.2 overs.
The win underscored KKR's all-round supremacy, as they dominated with both bat and ball to secure their third IPL title. The match will be remembered for KKR's exceptional bowling performance, which laid the foundation for a straightforward chase, allowing them to lift the trophy in front of a jubilant Chepauk crowd.
