IPL Fixing: How Sreesanth distracts Delhi police in jail

New Delhi, May 31: S Sreesanth, who has been spending sleepless nights in Tihar Jail, seems to have not changed even after the scandalous IPL spot fixing controversy. The Kerala pacer, who is known as an attention seeker, continues to be the same.

A Delhi Police official recently informed about Sreesanth and his activities behind bar. It seems Delhi Police had a tough time while handling the suspended cricketer who was arrested over his alleged role in IPL spot fixing scandal.

Speaking about Sreesanth, the officer was quoted as saying that Sreesanth had a "very little" attention span and he used to "jump from one point to another".

Remembering the times when they used to struggle to get information from the cricketer, the cop said, "We had to come back to the point where he started for clarification time and again. He is mercurial and highly emotional. He won't concentrate. He would constantly do something to gain attention."

"We used to make him comfortable. We made him sit and talk to us. Sometimes, we even offered tea and biscuits to him during interrogation," he added.

The official also informed about Sreesanth's two other Rajasthan Royals teammates - Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila. According to the police officer, while Chavan is "child-like" and a "quiet person", Chandila is a "tough nut" to crack.

However, the cops finally succeeded to get information from Chandila as he said, "we have our own ways to crack such people. All of them cooperated with us during interrogation,"

Sreesanth and Chandila have been sent to judicial custody till June 4. Sreesanth has currently been lodged in Cell no 1. Chavan, however, got conditional bail till June 6.

The 27-year-old cricketer, who hails from Mumbai, applied for bail citing his marriage which is scheduled to be held on June 2.
