IPL Fixing: More shameful truth about Sreesanth revealed

New Delhi, May 20: S Sreesanth, who is likely to appeal for bail on Monday, May 20, may not succeed in his mission as more shocking and shameful information about the cricketer have been unearthed in connection with IPL spot fixing scandal.

Four days after his arrest in Mumbai, Delhi police sources informed that Sreesanth was drunk at the time of his arrest. The Kerala pacer was accompanied by a woman in an SUV car outside Carter Road Mumbai.

The cricketer, who is known for his ill temper, had thrown tantrum at the Delhi police team who had gone to arrest him. Showing his "connection", Sreesanth threatened to call Kerala and Maharashtra CMs to take actions against the officials.

A source has been quoted as saying, "When a police officer showed him his identity card, initially he kept silent. But suddenly he started shouting and said that he knew the chief ministers of Maharashtra and Kerala. How can they arrest him, he demanded."

Earlier it was reported that fresh case might be registered against the 30-year-old cricketer as Mumbai police now have tightened the noose around him.

According to sources, Mumbai police are likely to seek Sreesanth's custody from Delhi police as they reportedly have found some shocking evidence against the player.

Mumbai police on Saturday, May 18 raided the hotel room where Sreesanth had lodged in the city. The cops seized his laptop, i-Pad, cash money and many more.

IPL spot fixing scandal is getting murkier day by day. Sreesanth reportedly had claimed that his close aide and one of the crucial bookies -- Jiju Janardhan alias Biju had tried to make his MMS. However, Delhi police sources informed that investigating team believe that the bookies had indeed made some "tapes" which they might have used to blackmail the tainted cricketers.

Sreesanth along with his two Rajasthan Royals (RR) teammates -- Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chahav were arrested for spot-fixing during their team's matches and received up to Rs 60 lakh for conceding runs in one over as per arrangements with bookies. The players were suspended by the BCCI.

The players reportedly have confessed to their crime and informed that bookies had gifted these players a Hummer and other high end cars, expensive watches and women at parties, convincing them to spot-fix.
