IPL Fixing: Sreesanth's secrets revealed, Cricket ashamed

New Delhi, May 21: Investigation in IPL spot fixing case is getting murkier day by day as it has been revealing more secrets of the cricketers who are worshipped as superstars of the country. S Sreesanth is one of the three tainted players who were arrested over their alleged roles in the fixing scandal.

Sreesanth, who is most popular among the three, seems to have landed in a big trouble as Mumbai police revealed sensational secrets of the Kerala pacer. During a raid at his hotel room in Mumbai, police recently seized his laptop, iPad, personal diary and other belongings.

According to sources, Sreesanth was in touch with many Bollywood, Telugu actress, aspiring film stars, models who were suspected to be used as honey-trap by the bookies to lure the tainted cricketers.

Mumbai police on Tuesday, May 21 questioned one Bollywood casting director who allegedly had sent phone numbers and pictures and details of all women to Sreesanth.

Mumbai's Joint Commissioner of Police, Himangshu Roy recently was quoted as saying, "The question of honey trap and other things comes upto the extent till it pertains to our investigation. Only after we get the feeds of the CCTV camera, we will get to know what was the movement, who was in the room, and how this is relevant to our case."

A bookie, during an interview with NDTV, said, "The women are the conduits to the players. Sometime women accomplish things that crores of rupees cannot. We benefit by using these women. We save money."

Sreesanth was accompanied by women in an SUV car outside a five star hotel in Mumbai at the time of his arrest. Earlier it was reported that the Kerala pacer was drunk and had thrown tantrum at Delhi police officials who had gone to arrest him.

Media reports earlier had claimed that Sreesanth and his other two Rajasthan Royals (RR) teammates -- Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan confessed to their crime. The trio also allegedly told police that honey trap was indeed used to convince the tainted players.

The three cricketers and other arrested bookies would be produced in a court in Delhi as their police custody ends on Tuesday. While Sreesanth's lawyer informed that they would apply for bail, Delhi police sources said they too would urge the court to extend the custody of the tainted cricketers and bookies.
