IPL Mega Auction 2025 on November 25: How Many Players Will Be Auctioned on Day 2?
After an opening day saw teams break the banks to land their desired players, all ten franchises will be much busier on the second day of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Mega Auction 2025 held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Monday (November 25).
A total of 577 players made the final IPL Auction players list, featuring 367 Indians and 210 overseas stars. Ahead of the auction, there were a maximum of 204 slots, including 70 overseas slots to be filled by the franchises.

Among the 577, only the first few players from sets 1 to 12 were on offer on the opening day. A total of 84 players (72 sold and 12 unsold) went under the hammer on the first day of the auction on Sunday (November 24) with teams breaking the bank for the marquee Indian cricketers.
India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant pipped Shreyas Iyer (Rs 26.75 crore) to become the costliest buy in IPL's history with a Rs 27 crore winning bid from Lucknow Super Giants.
Meanwhile, Venkatesh Iyer was the surprise show-stopper as he was bought back for Rs 23.75 crore by his former franchise Kolkata Knight Riders. Teams spent a total sum of Rs 467.95 crore on Day 1.
Despite the huge amounts spent, all ten teams still need to do more to achieved the required squad strength for the upcoming season. Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians, who have 9 players each, will be the slightly busier of the ten teams.
Other eight teams also will need to add players to their squad. With teams needing to fill more slots, the second day will be an even more busier day in Jeddah. Here is a look at how many players will go under the hammer:
How many players will be auctioned on day 2 of the IPL Mega Auction 2025?
After 84 players went under the hammer on day 1 of the auction, 493 remain on the full IPL Auction Player list. Teams filled up 72 of the remaining slots. Among the 72 players bought, 24 were overseas.
The 12 unsold players could also be brought back into the auction in the closing stages, making it at least 505 players up for grabs for teams on the second day of the big auction.
But not all 505 players will be auctioned as day 2 will feature the accelerated process. And with only a maximum of 132 slots, including 46 overseas, left vacant, a maximum of 150-200 players could go under the hammer today.
