By IPL 2009, AR Rahman had already won an Oscar, and his soulful act in Cape Town added a touch of Indian musical brilliance to the international stage. Fast forward to IPL 2010, and Rahman was back again in Mumbai, delivering a mesmerising rendition of "Jai Ho," sending chills down the spines of everyone in attendance.

Then came IPL 2011, when Shah Rukh Khan returned, this time in Chennai, proving once again why he's the king of entertainment. His energetic act had the crowd roaring with excitement. In 2012, the IPL raised the stakes by bringing in none other than Katy Perry. Her sizzling performance in Chennai was a showstopper, adding a global pop culture element to the mix. The extravagance continued in 2013 when international sensation Pitbull set the Kolkata stage on fire, proving that IPL had truly gone global.

The 2014 edition in Abu Dhabi was all about Bollywood grandeur, with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone leaving audiences spellbound. Rain might have played spoilsport in 2015, but that didn’t stop Hrithik Roshan and Anushka Sharma from delivering dazzling acts in Kolkata.

The 2024 edition in Chennai was a dazzling affair, with the legendary A.R. Rahman returning for a nostalgic medley, while Akshay Kumar brought his Bollywood charm to the stage. But all eyes are now on 2025, as Disha Patani is set to make a much-anticipated return.

Her last performance in 2017 was a showstopper, and fans are eager to see what magic she conjures this time. With her grace, style, and unmatched energy, the upcoming act promises to be a highlight of the season, ensuring the IPL’s tradition of blending cricket with captivating entertainment continues to thrive.
