Bengaluru, April 19: It has been exactly 10 years that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) played their first ever match in IPL 2008 against Kings XI Punjab in Mohali.

Winning the toss, CSK opted to bat first and posted a mammoth total of 240 runs against KXIP. Michael Hussey scored an unbeaten 116 runs off 56 balls.

In reply, Punjab managed to score 207 runs as CSK won the game by 33 runs. It was a winning start for the men in yellow in the tournament.

It was a grand beginning for a team who ultimately became the most successful team in the history of the tournament. They played 5 finals out of 8 and won twice.
