IPL's success attracts Harvard academicians

Pune, Jun 1 (UNI) The Runaway success of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has aroused the interest of some Harvard academicians, who wish to exlore the reason behind this phenomenon, BCCI President and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar said today.

Speaking at the inaugural function of the Nanded City township project of Magarpatta City Developers here, Mr Pawar said ''The Indian Premier League (IPL) is going to leave behind a void that will be hard to fill.'' ''I have been receiving SMS's from all over the country and people are asking me about how to spent their evenings after IPL matches are over, as watching these matches have become a part of their routine,'' Mr Pawar said.

The Harvard academicians are here to study and analyse the reason, which made IPL matches a favourite among people, Mr Pawar added.
