Pakistan is set to play Ireland in the first T20I today (Friday, May 10) at the Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in Dublin.
The two nations are set to play a three-match T20I series ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. It will be a testament to their skills as both teams are in the same group in the World Cup, along with USA, Canada and India.

Pakistan have named a strong squad for the Ireland tour, as the majority of this squad, if not all, will be taking part in the World Cup.
Ahead of the 1st T20I match today, Pakistan do have a settled squad. Only Mohammad Amir is the player they will miss as he couldn't join the team due to visa issues. Although Amir's visa issue now resolved, the player can only be available for the 2nd T20I on Sunday.
For the upcoming match, the visitors will be hoping to field a strong team. Babar Azam, being the captain, is certain to play, while there is a debate between Saim Ayub and Fakhar Zaman. For now, it looks like Fakhar Zaman will get the nod ahead.
Irfan Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed will be in the middle-order, while Shadab Khan is also poised to be in the lineup. Imad Wasim may also have a place as Pakistan would be interested in his all-round ability.
In terms of pacers, they do have a plethora of options. Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi are expected to start, but Abbas Afridi is likely to play as the 3rd pacer. The 23-year-old had a decent series against New Zealand and may get the chance ahead of Naseem Shah for this match.
