Ireland to host Indo-Australia ODI series in June: BCCI

New Delhi, Feb 7 (UNI) The BCCI has finally zeroed in on Ireland to stage the proposed India-Australia ODI series after failing to find a venue for the tournament in New York.

''The series will be played in the last week of June and will comprise three or five matches. We have chosen Ireland as the venue and things are being worked out,'' BCCI seceratry Niranjan Shah told reporters after the board's working committee meeting here today.

The series was originally scheduled to be held in New York but a lack of venues in the city led to the tournament being cancelled.

However, the BCCI said it was confident of making the arrangements this time.

''The series is more or less confirmed. But before that the Indian team will be touring Bangladesh,'' Mr Shah said.

''And after the ODIs against Australia, India will be going on a tour of England,'' he added, as he detailed India's schedule after next month's World Cup in West Indies.
