Ireland vs Bangladesh weather update: The first ODI between Ireland and Bangladesh was abandoned due to incessant rain with Ireland three down for 65 while chasing 247 against visitors. Wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim top-scored for the visitors after they were asked to bat first.
The second game of the three-match ODI will also be played at the County Ground in Chelmsford in England. Ireland, who are aiming to avenge their ODI, T20I and Test series defeat in Bangladesh in March-April this year, would be hoping for the weather to be kind with them this time around.

Notably, Ireland were fancying a chance of direct qualification for the upcoming 2023 World Cup with a 3-0 win over Bangladesh. But with rain playing spoilsport in the first match, South Africa benefited and became the eight and last team to qualify directly for the marquee event.
The top eight teams in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League standings were to qualify directly for the marquee event. Ireland will now have to compete in 10-team World Cup Qualifier which will be held in Zimbabwe.
Mykhel brings you the weather update but before that let's take a look at the match details.
