England women cricket team will be aiming for a second win on the go as they take on debutant Ireland in the Women's T20 World Cup group B encounter in Paarl on Sunday.

Ireland, however, are not without experience in a tournament of this stature, as they have played five 50-over World Cup in the past and also reached the quarter-finals of the tournament in 1997 as well.

England, however, are the giant of the game with five World Cups to their name, including the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2009.

Ireland, on the other hand, are looking to make the most out of the momentum of winning a series against Pakistan in November and then causing a massive upset to Australia in the World Cup warm-up game last Wednesday.

Ireland coach Ed Joyce said they are fired up after the win as the team believes they are capable of competing at them.

"We're confident we can compete with the best teams, if not necessarily beat them," said Joyce.

The team has experienced batters Laura Delaney and Gaby Lewis with the former finishing highest scorer in ODi series against Pakistan. Lewis is the most successful Irish batter in the T20I with 1441 runs to her name.

The 21-year-old batter scored two half-centuries against Pakistan as well with innings of 69 not out and 71 in the series.
